The Writing & Roleplay Program
A collaborative D&D story
Over a few hours, a group of young people will work together to tell their own Dungeons & Dragons story in a social but supervised environment. To complete the quest, players will complete age-appropriate exercises that will build confidence and develop their ability to write in a compelling and creative manner.
With unique literacy exercises
Our adventurers might arrive at a quaint forest village and need to create a brochure to promote this year's harvest festival. Or they could take a different fork in the road and meet a famous fae queen who demands the party embellish the history of her crown jewels. At every stage, the facilitator is there to offer individual guidance, feedback and encouragement.
Bringing students' writing to life
The decisions that participants make in their writing are brought to life in the game world and help drive the story forward. This is an opportunity to build a love for writing, while cultivating all the skills that come from collaborative roleplay: confidence, lateral thinking, turn-taking, conflict-resolution and teamwork.
